The Virtual Access range of wired and wireless industrial routers and gateways are designed for use in outdoor equipment and cabinets at roadsides, substations and remote telemetry locations. Typical applications for Virtual Access routers include SCADA, protocol conversion, telemetry, security, emergency services and other critical infrastructure. "Zero Touch Deployment" enables the economical, reliable and consistent inclusion of routers in large projects.

Virtual Access Activator is a telco-grade, automated provisioning and monitoring system designed to simplify the logistic issues associated with deploying and managing thousands of routers. Activator can be a cloud-based or a privately installed server.
Monitor is a secure portal that provides your support team with live monitoring of devices, real-time diagnostics, email notification, and dashboard graph reporting. Activator automatically creates an entry for a router in the Monitor database during the router initialisation process, which means all the device identities are displayed automatically in Monitor.
Together, Activator and Monitor provide a highly scalable management solution that grows with your service.

Technical characteristics of devices:
  • Ethernet ports: 2 or 4 x 10/100 Mbit/s; 4 x 100/1000 Mbit/s, PoE+ (GW2304W); RJ-45.
  • Serial ports (configurable): 1 x RS-232, 1 x RS-485, RJ-45.
  • Optical ports: 2 x 100/1000 Mbit/s SFP, LC connector (SFP transceivers are order separately) - announced for Q4/2021.
  • 2 SIM card slots.   • 2 or 4 x SMAf LTE antenna sockets; 2 x SMAf WiFi antenna sockets (GW2304W).
  • Isolated power supply: 9 - 36 VDC (GW1042W), 18 - 60 VDC, 22 - 57 VDC (GW2304W).
  • RTU functionality.   • Protocol conversion: IEC 60870-5, IEC 61850, Modbus RTU, Modbus TCP, DNP3, Serial to Ethernet.
  • Operating temperature: -40 do +70 °C.   • DIN rail mountable.   • Warranty 5 years.
