Modern optical SFP transceivers support standard Digital Diagnostic Monitoring (DDM) functions. This feature is also known as Digital Optical Monitoring (DOM). This capability allows to monitor the working parameters of the SFP in real time. The parameters include optical output output, optical input power, temperature, laser current and power transmission voltage. In network equipment, this information is usually made available through the Simple Network Management Protocol (SNMP). The DDM interface allows end users to display diagnostic data and alarms for optical transceivers and can be used to diagnose why the transceiver is not working. Westermo operating systems WeOS 4 and WeOS 5 and the WeConfig network tool allow to track SFP parameters and troubleshoot any problems on the optical connection before they occur.

  • Bi-direct transceivers up to 120 km (sending and receiving on the same optical thread at different wavelengths).

  • Transmission speed 100 Mbit/s, 1 Gbit/s or 10 Gbit/s.   • Operating temperature: -40 to +85 °C.   • Warranty 5 years.
